Why is SEO Important Today: A Beginner’s Guide to SEO

Why is SEO important today, Everyone is talking about this and how to earn money through internet. This was a similar question for me back in 2016. But after 3 years I realized that it is not easy to earn money through internet. I have gone through a lot of blogs, forums and YouTube videos to know how I can earn money through internet.

Then, I came to know about Search Engine Optimization, also called SEO in internet terms. SEO was challenging for me and lot of people out there today. But there is nothing we cannot learn about. Web has made so easy for us to learn anything we want to learn.

Before I start to give you tips about how I made SEO easy for me, I just want to tell you just be calm and read patiently.

There are lot of people who just say Search Engine Optimization is easy. Some people say I can rank your website in Google’s first page within a week. But, before believing in that person you should understand what he can do.

Let’s start why SEO is important today.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is all about increasing website traffic and visibility in search engine. If you have website then you need SEO to rank. It’s not 2006, where you don’t need any kind of SEO or marketing to place your website in search engine. The competition in today’s world is so high; you have to compete with the trend.

The first thing you should remember after you hear the word SEO is Keyword. Keyword is the most important part of SEO.  Everything inside a web is a query. To ask anything or to know anything, you need to place the keyword first.

Keyword actually is a word, phrase or even sentence. What you type or think in your mind is a keyword; your intention will define your keyword.

If you are here then probably you have typed something like what is SEO or why SEO is so important or even how is SEO important. This is keyword and it had driven you to my “Why is SEO Important Today” article.

Before you think about implementing the keyword in your website, just know about your competitor. Why they are in the first place of search engine, and analyse their content.

Just dig inside and research, you will get to know what they are missing from user’s perspective. Simply, add something unique that your competitor had never mentioned in their website.

Google or any other search engine will eventually recognize that you are giving more value to their viewers. So obviously they have to push you up.

There are no tricks and tips to skyrocket your traffic within a day or a week. It’s all testimonials. You just have to test yourself so deep, that you should know the loophole of Google algorithm. I didn’t mean black hat loophole but an organic loophole.

For an organic keyword ranking you can try out using my strategy:

  • Research Keyword before writing the content
  • Describe the Topic Powerfully
  • Target location-specific keywords
  • Target Keywords related to your practice area
  • Target specialized Keywords
  • Target the keyword that is in trend


When I was new into this SEO world I used to hear “Content is King” many times, but by the time, I learned what it really means.

I would repeat the word “Content is King” but only if you can give value through that content. If you are thinking about writing an article, but you are just repeating the content that already exists inside the web then you are making a mistake.

After all these years I have experienced that search engine is looking for valuable content. Google is no more a search engine; rather it’s your answering platform. You are looking everything inside a Google that you don’t know.

If you are writing the same content Google has already seen, then that would make no sense.

You should be more practical. Go and visit places, meditate, take diary and start writing. Whatever you see, whatever you experience, just write it down. Google has never seen your life experience.

Your life experience or anything you saw in the journey could be valuable to someone who had never faced the same.

It’s not necessary to write 3000 words to rank on Google, instead your content should meet the user’s intent. Spinning articles and writing about the same thing that already exist would never help boost your SEO and website traffic.

Content is all about giving right information to the right audience through internet.

On Page Optimization

On page optimization is all about optimizing your individual pages or posts. The important thing you should remember while optimizing your page are Keyword and Content. The implementation of keyword inside your content should be accurate to the google and other search engine. I didn’t mean you should include 20 single keyword inside your <300 words article.

The content should be valuable, plus keyword should be implemented within the content. This is little bit tricky, you should analyse yourself to overcome from this. No one can give you 100% accurate answer about how many keywords inside your content. Do more research on content, give value to the viewers and implement keyword inside that content, then only your on page optimization will work.

Nowadays, many people think on page optimization means making a green button in Yoast Plug-in. I have experienced this too. But don’t focus on making that green, focus on Content and Keyword.

Other than mentioned above, you should look over the Title, Meta description, URL, Tags, Internal links, Outbound Links, Readability analysis, Image Alts, and LSI (Latent semantic Index) related keywords of your focus keyword within the content. Off Page Optimization:

Simply Off page optimization means optimizing your page outside of your website. This was tough thing for me initially, but I was smart enough to cope up with all SEO related stuffs.

Backlinks: A high Domain Authority backlink can boost your website. But a low DA backlink will doesn’t impact on your site. First thing that comes up in my mind before hearing backlink is Do follow link and No follow link. I have written “A Complete Guide for Do Follow and No Follow Links” you can go through this and first understand these terms.

Backlink Strategy:

  • Social Media Posting
  • Community Engagement
  • Forums
  • Comments with hyperlink
  • Email for Backlink (Only ask people who is in your niche)
  • Be involved in your local society

At last, give quality content so that others will give you backlink organically. This is the best strategy for any SEO expert.

Social Media:

One of the strongest platforms in today’s generation is social media. You can make anything viral on internet with the help of this platform. Social media is a community or a involvement of people. To grow your business or to have more reach and impression you must need social media today.

Social Media Marketing is one of the important factors for Internet Marketers. I have been using social media for a while now; I am using social media totally for my business. But, I am always careful and clever while using this.

Domain Authority & Page Rank

Domain authority is just a metric to check the ability of website or domain to rank in search engines. Domain authority is measured from 0 to 100. Higher the authority, chances of ranking in search engine is high. Lower the authority, less chance to rank in search engine.

Domain Authority depends on following:

  • Quality and number of Incoming Links
  • Quality and number of Outgoing Links
  • Age of Domain
  • Page Rank
  • Traffic Metrics (number of visitors, time spent on page and the bounce rate)

Page Rank is an algorithm that evaluates the quantity and quality of particular web page. This usually helps to analyse the importance and authority of pages. Page rank is also measured from 0 to 100. More value your page have, more chances to rank higher in search engines.

Page Rank Depends on following:

  • Quality of pages
  • Quality of content inside the page
  • User Behaviour
  • Domain Rank



Basic Tips for Content Strategy: A Beginners Guide

“Content is King” Everyone is familiar with this term. But is it really? If so then why is everyone focusing on keyword only? Targeting on keyword is a good practice for SEO but beside that your clients are more important i.e. your viewers. You are not giving good content, instead focusing on keyword and ranking only. This may affect your site from a long term value.

To complete the phrase Content is king you should focus on content research and provide good article to your viewers. Mark my word, Google will automatically pushes you in the top if you practice this.

My only focus is on content. I have never stuffed on keyword; instead I am using Keyword strategically. I have written on Basic Tips for Keyword Research in my previous post; go through it to know more.

People do keyword stuffing for a single content and rank higher, but that’s for a short period of time. After all Google is searching for answer, so you will be pushed back if you try to put higher keyword density.

Basic Tips for Content Strategy:

Content Format

What content are you giving will define your content strategy ability. Content is all about giving story, the story may be in different format. Your job is to attract audience through your story.

Seth Godin says there are 4 qualities your content needs to have;

  1. Emotion: What emotion do we want audience to feel?
  2. Change: How are you changing audience with the help of your content? Does that help people to believe in your brand?
  3. Alert: How can you give something that alert people?
  4. Share: How can you engage the community?

Format your content with a good strategy and provide some kind of value to your audience. Something they should take from your site and share with the world. A good content strategist will always use these formats in order to engage their audience.

Audience Behaviour

After you have content format strategy you should understand your audience. You should ask yourself these questions.

  • Who are they?
  • What are they looking for in content?
  • Why they will come back?

If you could answer these questions and focus on content then the retention of audience is definite. The first question comes in your mind is How to analyse audience behaviour. You don’t have to go anywhere to find this. Google Analytics will give your all answers.


Let’s take a look how you can analyze your audience.

First of all, go through analytics report. There you will see Audience Menu where you will find about your audience. Go through each and every sub-menu thoroughly and make report of your own audience. Check where your audience is striking, from where they are coming and what age group people are interested in your content. You can even check their active operating system, technology and mobile they are using to browse your content. You can see Behavior in above image; this gives you the idea about your new and returning visitors. It can be helpful to improve your content and attract more returning visitors.


Second, there is a Behavior menu below acquisition. This includes behaviour flow, content, speed and page of the site. This section helps you to find the actual behaviour flow of the audience; that is why this is in content strategy list.

Analytics Behavior Flow

In this section you will find out your best performing landing page and worst performing landing page. This will give you idea about updating the content in worst performing one. You can even experiment in this section. Experiment your content with defined traffic percentage and objective of the experiment. Like how the audience will use the website content, their session duration, page views and Bounce rate.

This will definitely help you recognize your audience and their behaviour. You can even track your audience through other search engines like Bing, Baidu and Yandex. Also, you can analyse social media analytics for audience behaviour.

Update Content

Now you already knew your audience, you can format the content in an updated version. As you already know your audience behavior you can easily target now. You should apply this content strategy on weekly or monthly as per your results report.

For Example,

If your website is all about food but you already have written a lot of content on food.

Now what you should do?

You should check your audience in your Google Analytics. Make a report where your audience are living and what age group of people are visiting your website. Create list and put the top location and age group of people visiting your website the most.

Suppose, your top location is Mumbai and Age group is 20-40. Then, you should write like this:

  • Best street food in Mumbai
  • Best food to eat in Mumbai
  • Best restaurant in Mumbai for Dinner
  • Best Restaurant in Mumbai

Just make partition of all the top places and target your best returning visitors. This will help in your conversion rate.


Video content is booming day by day. Everyone is towards YouTube or social media video. That is why I have mentioned video in this content strategy list. If you want your visibility to reach with more audience then you must go into video world.

  • Youtube has over a billion users, almost one-third of the total internet users.

  • More than 60% of people use YouTube to help them solve a problem.

These stats definitely show where the Video content is going. YouTube is a Instructor for many people around the world.

Easy Method to Find LSI Keywords: A Beginners Guide

LSI also known as Latent Semantic Indexing is used popularly in Search Engine Optimization. LSI is a search engine technique use to find the related queries people use around a given topic.

LSI keywords are basically words and phrases which have high relation with the focus keyword. In simple word, LSI keyword is a synonym of focus keyword or phrase because they share the same context. In this blog I will share with you my experience on finding Latent Semantic Indexing.

Let’s start without distraction on “Easy Method to find LSI keywords”


Google itself gives LSI keywords. There are three ways Google provide you these keywords keywords. The first one is in the search bar of Google as shown in picture below.

This gives you an idea about your queries, are you missing something that you actually want in your focus keyword, then head over to another one. Google is trying to understand your intention, and giving related queries according to their algorithm flows.

The second one that Google provides is in the bottom of the search page as shown in picture.

Here you will find out a little bit different then above picture. This indicates Google is giving more priority in related searches. You can generate more ideas from these LSI keywords too. To find out the last one search you should be clever enough. LSI keyword lies inside the post snippet with similar terms. The picture below will make you clear about this.

If you can see the black color highlighted in the snippet then you will get to know what google is fetching to rank in top pages. If you could see Keyword Tool is dominating others, Google has highlighted two of their keyword. One is focus keyword and the other is LSI. I have searched for keyword research but Google gave me the Keyword Tool in the first page. Because they know what I am into, as I have mentioned already Google tries to know your intention and will provide you the best results.

Soovle is another free tool to find out the semantic keyword. Look at this example to know how soovle works.

Keywords Everywhere

Keywords everywhere is a free tool use to find the keywords. It should be installed in chrome and Firefox extension in order to use. Keywords everywhere show you the LSI keywords in very depth. The main function of keyword everywhere is to show the search volume of keyword, cost per click and the competition of particular keyword. This tool does not give you the exact metrics. But somehow you can utilize this tool freely. Here I will show you how this tool will help you find your LSI keywords.

The tool is divided in two sections and located in the right side of the Google page.

The first one shows you the related keywords, their volume, cpc and competition. You can assume this related keyword as your LSI keywords.

The other one shows you the keyword in more depth. “People also Search for” indicated you the queries people are searching after the focus keyword “Keyword Research”. Go to your Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, download the extension and start using Keywords Strategically.


Ubersuggest is a complete SEO tool. Here you can get your SEO Audit, Backlinks report, overview of your traffic and lastly keyword and content ideas. Neil Patel is providing this tool for free. This is actually a good thing for SEO beginners, also for pro.

Have you ever imagined you could use Social media platform as your Keyword research tool. Today, I will show you how I started searching LSI keywords on Facebook, twitter and pinterest. You should know simple tactics before starting this. If you don’t know then here I am going to tell about Social Media keyword research Strategy.


Everyone thinks Facebook is a community to view and share public opinion and it true though. But, have you tried finding out content from Facebook? If No, then start from today I will show you here how I see LSI keyword in Facebook.

These keywords are also called LSI keywords as I have been telling about this in this whole article. After this if you click “See all results for keyword research” then you will be redirected to “All” section. There you will see the group option.
